This is the third high school in McKinney, the others being McKinney High School and McKinney North High School. Setting McKinney Boyd up proved controversial, with many students being compulsorily transferred from the other schools. [2] As of 2023, GreatSchools gave MHS an overall 5/10 rating, which its data ranges from test scores to diversity, attendance, etc. [3]
