Logo of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Campground. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts is a chain of more than 75 family friendly campgrounds throughout the United States and Canada. The camp-resort locations are independently owned and operated and each is franchised through Camp Jellystone, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sun Communities.
The first resort, the Chehalis Thousand Trails location was first begun on 640 acres (260 ha) [3] and by the late 1970s, contained a pool and lodge. As of 2007, the campground is part of a nature reserve and contains 3,000 camp sites, a 100 foot (30 metres) Slip 'N Slide, and an open area known as Roy Rogers' Field, named in honor of the company's first spokesperson.
Waconda Lake, also known as Glen Elder Reservoir, is a reservoir in Mitchell County and Osborne County, Kansas, United States. [1] [5] Built and managed by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for flood control and irrigation, it is also used for recreation.
The area that is now College Hill Park served as the Wichita Country Club from 1901–1912. It was redeveloped from an overgrown golf course into its current park configuration, including its swimming pool, via WPA funds during the Great Depression. [8] Today, College Hill Park is a treasured place for families to stroll and play. [9]
In its place for now is a new ride called Rock-O-Plane, located on Knoebels Boulevard next to the Alamo restaurant. Rock-O-Plane is anticipated to be operational for Hallo-Fun weekends in October.
