In 2003, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo signed executive order 236, consolidating the current Philippine honours system and, in it, the "Order of Kalantiao" ceased being an honour. [12] However, the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Executive Order did list the Order of Kalantiaw as one of the Honors of the Philippines. [13]
