Morrow Township is one of ten townships in Adair County, Missouri, United States. As of the 2010 census , its population was 431. [ 3 ] It is named for John Morrow, one of Adair County's original judges.
The first high school graduation was held in 1934. The original section of the now old Affton High School was completed in 1936. This building, located across the street from the current Affton High School, was used as the Sanders Work Activity Center, but has since been torn down and is now a senior-living facility.
Scriven drowned in 1886 at age 66. At the time of his death he was very ill with fever, and had been brought to a friend’s home to recover. Born in Newton, Kansas, Scrivner attended grade schools and was graduated from Manual Training High School, Kansas City, Missouri. In July 1917, during World War I, he enlisted in Battery B of the One Hundred and Twenty-ninth Field Artillery; he served overseas in 1918 and 1919. He was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart Medals.
