Livre des merveilles du monde (BnF Fr2810) is an illuminated manuscript made in France around 1410–1412. It is a collection of several texts concerning commercial, religious, and diplomatic contact between Europe and Asia .
It displays collections of the Département des Monnaies, Médailles et Antiques de la Bibliothèque nationale de France as well as manuscripts and books from the Library's collections. The BnF Museum is located in the Richelieu site, the former main building of the library bordering rue de Richelieu .

Maisons du Monde (French pronunciation: [mɛzõ dy mõd(ə)], Houses of the world) is a French furniture and home decor company founded in Brest in 1996 by Xavier Marie. At the end of 2015, it had nearly 250 stores across France, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, and in Switzerland, of which more than 180 are in France.
After he was admitted to the École normale supérieure in 1948, Le Rider obtained his agrégation de lettres classiques in 1952. A member of the École française d'Athènes from 1952 to 1955, he joined the French Institute of Archeology of the Near East, where he stayed until 1958.
