[1] [2] Mastiffs are among the largest dogs, and typically have a short coat, a long low-set tail and large feet; the skull is large and bulky, the muzzle broad and short (brachycephalic) and the ears drooping and pendant-shaped.
Known as gentle giants, there isn't really a standard English Mastiff size. At a minimum, most English Mastiffs are 30 inches tall at the top of the shoulder for males and 27.5 inches for females.
