Ebbsfleet is a hamlet near Ramsgate, Kent, at the head of Pegwell Bay. Historically it was a peninsula on the southern coast of the Isle of Thanet, marking the eastern end of the Wantsum Channel that separated Thanet from the Kentish mainland. It is in the civil parish of Minster-in-Thanet.
Opened in 1846 by the South Eastern Railway on its line from Ashford and Canterbury, it closed when the current Ramsgate station opened in 1926. The new through track alignment and station brought together the disparate railways on Thanet,but at the price that it was further from the town centre.

The church, founded in 1062, is a grade I listed building, [1] and is the oldest church in Ramsgate. [2] It was an abbey church until 1275, when it became the parish church for the entire area, and inherited many of the former responsibilities of the church in nearby Minster.
