The Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) is the students' union at the University of Delhi, and with over 7,00,000 students spread over 91 affiliated colleges and 16 faculties, DUSU is the world’s largest student body. [3] [4] The Students' Union has four central panel positions. These are the posts of President, Vice President, General Secretary and Joint Secretary. [5]
AISA has consistently won in Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union elections since 2006. [20] [21] [22] The victory of AISF in 2016 JNUSU elections were the time when AISA lost its president-ship. [citation needed] Since 2013, AISA is one of the major left force in Delhi University Students Union elections. [23] [24] [25]
In 2015, SOI Alliance won all four seats in the Panjab University Campus Students Council. [4] SOI made a debut in Delhi University student elections in 2015. [5] [6] SOI contested 18 seats in three colleges under DU and was able to win 10.
While in college, he joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and contested Delhi University Student Union elections as an ABVP candidate.
