Hudepohl-Schoenling continued to operate as a sales and marketing company for its many brands of beer, which included Little Kings Cream Ale, Hudy Delight, Hudy Gold, Christian Moerlein, Mt. Everest Malt Liquor, Burger and Burger Light. The company also produced a successful line of iced teas and juice drinks under the Tradewinds name.
Over a period of five years, Hardman also acquired Hudepohl, Hudy Delight, Hudy 14-K, Burger, and Little Kings, the best-known of the Cincinnati brands. He purchased not only those, but 65 other long-forgotten brand names, such as Top Hat, Hauck, and Windisch-Muhlhauser, bringing many of the historical Cincinnati Brands under the same roof. [ 9 ]
The company would introduce Burger Light in 1980 and when Hudepohl merged with Schoenling in 1986 much of the landscape of brewing had changed in Cincinnati and across the US. After Hudepohl-Schoenling sold its brewery to the Boston Beer Company in 1997, Burger continued to be brewed at the facility until 2001.
