Doesburg (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈduzbʏr(ə)x] ⓘ) is a municipality and a city in the eastern Netherlands in the province of Gelderland. Doesburg received city rights in 1237 and had a population of 11,064 in 2021. The city is situated on the right bank of the River IJssel at its confluence with the River Oude IJssel.
She was the second daughter of William I, Count of Nassau-Siegen and Juliana of Stolberg, making Maria a sister of William the Silent.On 11 November 1556 she married count Willem IV van den Bergh (1537–1586) in Meurs.

Huis Bergh is a castle in 's-Heerenberg city and is one of the largest castles in the Netherlands. It gives its name to the Land van den Bergh and was previously owned by the counts van Bergh . Nowadays, it is a famous tourist attraction for its beautiful appearance and late-medieval art collection.
