Dominic Savio (Italian: Domenico Savio; 2 April 1842 – 9 March 1857) was an Italian student of John Bosco who became a Catholic saint. He was studying to be a priest when he became ill and died at the age of 14, possibly from pleurisy . [ 5 ]

Pierre Mandonnet was born in Beaumont, Puy-de-Dôme on 4 January 1936. [4] [5] In 1887 he was ordained as a priest, and from 1891 to 1919, was a professor of church history at the University of Fribourg. In 1902/03 he served as university rector. [6] He died in Le Saulchoir on 4 January 1936. [4]
