The sixth series of Line of Duty, consisting of seven episodes, began broadcasting on BBC One on 21 March 2021. The story follows the actions of AC-12, led by Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) and DI Steve Arnott (Martin Compston), as they investigate DCI Joanne Davidson (Kelly Macdonald) and her team, including former AC-12 officer DI Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure).
In the United States Line of Duty was released on Hulu weekly between 21 August and 18 September 2012 [23] [24] and was later added to Acorn TV in 2018 and BritBox by 2021. [25] It was also broadcast on the basic cable television network AMC beginning on 4 April 2020.
Line of Duty was created by Jed Mercurio who executive produces the series alongside Simon Heath and Stephen Wright. Cait Collins produced it. Filming took place in late 2016 with Mercurio directing two episodes and John Strickland directing four.
