Carl Henry Dodd (April 21, 1925 – October 13, 1996) was a United States Army soldier and a recipient of the U.S. military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his actions in the Korean War. He was awarded the medal for conspicuous leadership during the taking of a strongly defended hill as part of Operation Thunderbolt.

Private Robert Fulton Dodd (December 31, 1844 to September 14, 1903) was a Canadian soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Dodd received the United States' highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor , for his action during the Battle of the Crater in Petersburg, Virginia on 30 July 1864.
Before 1963, the Medal of Honor could be received for actions not involving direct combat with enemy or opposing foreign forces and 193 men earned the medal in this way.
