Scott County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of the 2020 census, the population was 174,669, [1] making it the third-most populous county in Iowa. The county seat is Davenport. Scott County is included in the Davenport–Moline-Rock Island, IA–IL Metropolitan Statistical Area. [2]
By 1933 it was out of money. Most of the union musicians left the orchestra and were replaced by amateurs. Unable to perform its more traditional, complex programs, the orchestra offered free tickets for the 1933–34 season, except for a few seats that were sold for a quarter. Frank Kendrie, the new music director, was paid a $100 per concert. [1]
