Maryland Route 26 (MD 26) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland.Known for most of its length as Liberty Road, the state highway runs 44.10 miles (70.97 km) from U.S. Route 15 (US 15) in Frederick east to MD 140 in Baltimore.

I-695 interchanges with MD 26 (Liberty Road) east of Randallstown and resumes north, narrowing to six lanes. It intersects the southern terminus of I-795 (Northwest Expressway), which serves as a bypass of MD 140 in the Owings Mills area.
Northern Parkway was built in various stages extending west from Old Harford Road to Hillen Road from the early 1950s to 1965. In 1973-75, work on the new section near York Road resulted in the demolition of businesses along York Road north of Belvedere Avenue, with at least one east west alley also being vacated by the city of Baltimore.
The state highway started as Emerald Lane, then turned east parallel to MD 26 and became Old Liberty Road. [20] [25] MD 850G was the designation for a 0.96-mile (1.54 km) section of Old Liberty Road between two dead ends on the westbound side of MD 26 in Eldersburg. The state highway was connected to MD 26 by county-maintained Linton Road.
MD 27 continues north along the top of Parrs Ridge. The highway intersects MD 26 (Liberty Road) at Taylorsville and meets the eastern end of MD 407 (Marston Road) north of there. MD 27 crosses Morgan Run south of the hamlet of Warfieldsburg and crosses the Maryland Midland Railway and Little Pipe Creek at Spring Mills.
North Rolling Road has an oblique intersection with Windsor Mill Road in the village of Hebbville and intersects Milford Mill Road before meeting MD 26 (Liberty Road) at the hamlet of Rockdale east of Randallstown. The highway reaches its northern terminus at Old Court Road between Randallstown and Pikesville. [5]
