Janet Paterson Frame ONZ CBE (28 August 1924 – 29 January 2004) was a New Zealand author. She is internationally renowned for her work, which includes novels, short stories, poetry, juvenile fiction, and an autobiography, and received numerous awards including being appointed to the Order of New Zealand, [1] New Zealand's highest civil honour.
The NZSA Janet Frame Memorial Award was an award for New Zealand writers of poetry and imaginative fiction. Janet Frame was a member of the writers’ organisation that is now called the New Zealand Society of Authors, or NZSA (then named the NZ PEN Centre) and had been greatly helped by being awarded the Hubert Church Memorial Award in 1951 for her first book, The Lagoon and other stories. A work by Olds, Disjointed on Wellington Railway Station was selected for Best New Zealand Poems 2001. [ 4 ] In 2005 Olds was the first recipient of the Janet Frame Literary Trust Award for Poetry.

In 2009 he was awarded the Janet Frame Prize for Poetry.
