Lithuania has around 15 shopping malls with more than 30,000 m 2 (320,000 sq ft) square meters of space. Another two are under construction. At the end of 2018, the total retail space in shopping centres larger than 5,000 square metres (54,000 sq ft) of gross leasable area and with more than 10 tenants amounted to approximately 1,100,000 square metres (12,000,000 sq ft).

Kauno Akropolis is characterised by its unique architecture – several historical buildings and their fragments (former Kauno Audiniai buildings) have been incorporated into its modern exterior and interior.

Panorama is the third largest shopping center in Vilnius and the seventh largest shopping mall in Lithuania with 65,000 m2 (700,000 sq ft). It is owned by UAB E.L.L. „Nekilnojamas Turtas“ (Group E.L.L. Real Estate). It was built by the Lithuanian company in 2008, in Saltoniškės.

In 2003, Rakauskai family acquired controlling stake of "Baltic Shopping Centers" which is a real estate investment company. In 2005, Rakauskai became sole shareholder of CJSC "Baltic Shopping Centers". In 2015, company's total assets amounted to €200,000,000, and it owned real estate area amounted to 147,000 square meters (1,580,000 sq ft).
Akropolis is the biggest shopping center in Klaipėda and the sixth largest shopping mall in Lithuania with 76,410 m2 (820,000 sq ft). It was built by the Lithuanian company AB "Vilniaus Akropolis" (headed by Mindaugas Marcinkevičius) in 2005. It was built Taikos pr. 61. On the side of the building there is a four-level free car park.
