The Montana State–Northern Lights football team represents Montana State University–Northern in college football in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Lights are members of the Frontier Conference, fielding its team in the Frontier Conference since 1999.

Jerome Souers (born May 20, 1958) is an American college football coach. He is the head football coach for Montana State University–Northern , a position he has held since 2022. [ 1 ] He was formerly the head football coach at Northern Arizona University , a position he held from 1998 until 2018. [ 2 ]

Mark Sampson (born c. 1958 or 1959) is an American former college and high school football coach. He was the head football coach for Missoula Loyola High School from 1987 to 1989, Capital High School from 1997 to 2003, [1] Montana State University–Northern from 2004 to 2013, [2] Havre High School in 2015, [3] [4] and Great Falls High School from 2016 to his retirement in 2021.
