Lois Irene Scott Roden (August 1, 1916 – November 10, 1986) was an American religious leader who was president of the Branch Davidian Seventh-day Adventist Church, an apocalyptic Christian sect which her husband, Benjamin Roden founded.

Benjamin Roden was another, founder of the Branch Davidian offshoot of Shepherd's Rod, [49] whose wife Lois Roden succeeded him as prophetess, and claimed a vision about the feminity of the Holy Spirit. Doyle was influential in formulating Lois Roden's theology. In 1980, she named him as an editor of SHEkinah, a Branch Davidian periodical used to disseminate ideas to others. Doyle argued, for example, that the Apostle Paul's "unknown God" in Acts 17 was known to over a billion people but the feminine Holy Spirit was known to a select few. [12]
