Steel Fury: Kharkov 1942 is a World War 2 tank simulation computer game, set during the Kharkov offensive of 1942. The 129th was formed from December 1941 to April 1942 in the Ural Military District, and then in May was sent to the 8th Guards Rifle Corps in the reserves of Western Front. This Corps was assigned to 20th Army in July and took part in the First Rzhev–Sychyovka offensive operation beginning on August 4.
