Sedalia station, also known as the Katy Depot, is a historic train station located at Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri, United States. It was built in 1895 by the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad .
The second story housed railroad offices. It served as a union station until the Katy built a separate depot to the east in 1896. Katy took the diesels off the train route in Waco for servicing and again used a Pacific class 4-6-2 steam locomotive, usually their Pacific 383, to take the train into San Antonio. The Texas Special proved to be so popular that the two railroads soon had to purchase additional equipment. Two Alco PA-1 diesels were purchased by MKT in 1949.
