Saint Bonaventure Parish Church, commonly known as Mauban Church, is a Roman Catholic church located in Mauban, Quezon, Philippines. It is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Lucena. First built in 1647, the church was later demolished and rebuilt in 1773. It was damaged by an 1880 earthquake that hit the town. [1]
St. Bonaventure Parish, Mauban, Quezon is the oldest settlement in the Philippines to have been placed under the protection of El Serafico Padre Doctor San Buenaventura in 1599. In 1647, an image of St. Bonaventure was miraculously found on a branch of a Malauban tree.
