The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is an organization in India. its founding presidents are Rohit Shukhla, Ritu Kumar, and Tarun Tahiliani. FDCI is a non-profit [ 1 ] independent association of fashion designers formed to propagate the Business of Fashion in India in December 1998. [ 2 ]

Ruma Devi (born 16 November 1988), is an Indian traditional handicraft fashion designer and social worker from Barmer, Rajasthan. [1] Ruma devi received the “Nari Shakti Puraskar 2018” the highest civilian honour for Women in India. She is associated with a network of over 30,000 rural women, [2] trained them and linked them to the livelihood.

Wendell Rodricks (28 May 1960 – 12 February 2020) was an Indian fashion designer and author based in Colvale, Goa. [1] [2] He was also an activist for social causes, environment and gay rights. [3] In 2014, the Government of India awarded him its fourth-highest civilian award, the Padma Shri. [4]
