Cub Scout Adventure World (Cub World) opened in 2000 as a camp designed exclusively for Cub Scouting. Cub World features two large buildings that offer dorm-like accommodations (Pioneer Fort and Medieval Castle) that offer rooms with bunk-beds, and more primitive areas (Mountain Man Village and Miner's Camp) that offer tent camping.
The Boy Scout resident camp was Camp Madron and the Cub Scout resident camp was Camp T. Ben Johnston. Both were named after former camps of the Southwest Michigan Council that were sold in the 1980s. A participant in the program is called a Cub. A group of Cubs is called a "Pack". The Wolf Cub program was originated by The Scout Association in the United Kingdom in 1916 to provide a program for boys who were too young to be Boy Scouts. It was adopted by many other Scout organizations.
