Caroline and Stefan attempt to save Enzo, only to find that the warehouse in which Matt informed them Enzo was being held had been abandoned. Sarah (Gabrielle Walsh) goes to Tripp's office in search of information regarding her familial history, only to find that Matt is also in the office.
Stefan and Caroline get back together. A rejoiced Bonnie forgives Damon on the phone and while he's getting out, he starts hearing Elena's voice. Enzo and Bonnie warn Damon that it is the vault playing tricks with his mind but he keeps following the voice and something scary overpowers him. Enzo rushes in to help encounter the damaged Damon.
Enzo thinks back to when Maggie wanted to become a vampire to help him escape, but he tells her to leave and forget about him. Damon goes to rescue Stefan, Elena, and Bonnie by admitting he killed Maggie after she tried to kill him. Enzo then turns his humanity off, attacks Liv, then takes Elena. Elena escapes from Enzo and then Stefan kills him.
It works and Enzo and Bonnie meet up with the others at the carnival to say goodbye to Tyler. Caroline shows Matt pictures of the girls on her phone and Matt recognizes Seline as the siren. Alaric and Caroline rush to the house only to find Seline and the twins gone with a kids-drawing of Lizzie, Josie, Seline, and Cade.

Enzo causes a scene in front of Ivy, forcing Caroline to compel her. While fighting, Stefan snaps Enzo's neck. At the time, Caroline was on the phone with Alaric, who was asking her to help figure out when exactly Elena fell in love with Damon. Caroline says that she did while she was still with Stefan, and realizes that Stefan heard her.
Caroline offers to help Jo as wedding coordinator. Stefan takes Damon to his home where he stayed while Damon was trapped in prison world, to know whether he really wants to become human or not. Enzo brought an MP3 player for Lily to listen and while Bonnie came to Lily's locked cell, Lily squeezed Bonnie's throat, leaving bruises.
