The Xbox Rewards app has a weekly task that gives 2500 bonus points every 10 weeks if you keep it going (as well as the standard weekly amount) Also, keeping your streak of doing daily tasks going helps too, think it's 150 bonus points every 10 days for us in UK once it's up to day 20+
I had 3 controller on Xbox (one fatty, two smalls), 2 on 360, 6 on Xbox One (became a collector and custom guy at this gen, so 1 OG controller, 1 Halo 5 controller, 1 new Xbone controller, 1 custom new Xbone controller, and 1 of each Elite). For Series, I’ve had 3 - stock, anniversary, and Forza. My girlfriend has 2 on her Series S.
Just to add to this - I didn't earn any points for purchasing a Design Lab Controller either. I get 80 points per dollar spent due to my MyVIP Rank being at Level 4, so should roughly get 8000 points for purchasing a Design Lab controller here in Australia (was charged $100 before tax) but haven't got anything.
The standard controller’s layout and functionality is just fine, but the texture is kinda scratchy and the buttons are so loud, especially compared to the DualSense. Design lab controllers are effectively a Series X|S controller with the added color and rubberized grips customization.
