Here's a general overview of the qualities Duke looks for in applicants: 1. GPA: Duke doesn't publish a minimum GPA requirement, but the middle 50% of admitted students have a high school GPA between 4.0-4.62 on a weighted scale. A strong academic record is essential, so aim for a GPA within or above this range.
Application Overview. Duke University accepts three applications: the Common Application, the Coalition Application, and the Questbridge Application. There is an $85 application fee at Duke and fee waivers are available for qualifying students. There are two pathways to admission at Duke: Early Decision (ED) and Regular Decision (RD).
Duke implemented a test-optional admissions policy for its class of 2025 and 44% applied without submitting test scores. Duke has extended its test-optional policy to the 2021-2022 admissions cycle, however, it’s advisable to take either the SAT or ACT if you can do so safely.
