The Temple Theatre is a historic theater, located on the banks of the Saginaw River in Saginaw, Michigan. The Temple was built in 1927 for the Elf Khurafeh Shriners, and operated for 50 years by W. Studio 28 opened in 1965 with just one screen. It quickly expanded and in 1988 it became the largest movie theater in the world with 20 screens.
When most of the movie theaters in the Detroit area were in the city of Detroit, the Redford Theatre screened many films that were first shown at one of the large theaters in the Grand Circus Park area of downtown Detroit.
