Southwick Beach State Park is a New York State park that lies along an unusual stretch of sandy beach on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario. The park is 464 acres (188 ha) in size with a 3,500 foot (1,100 m) length of beach, and is visited annually by about 100,000 people. [ 1 ]

Southwick's Zoo, New England's Largest Zoo, is a privately owned and seasonally operated zoological park spanning 300 acres in Mendon, Massachusetts, United States. The zoo was established in 1963 and has been under the management of the Southwick and Brewer families since its inception. [ 4 ]
The Elizabeth A. Morton National Wildlife Refuge is a 187-acre (76 ha) National Wildlife Refuge in Noyack, New York. Much of the refuge is situated on a peninsula surrounded by Noyack and Little Peconic bays. The refuge is managed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service as part of the Long Island National Wildlife Refuge Complex.
