Lawrence was a student of Bernard Lonergan at the Gregorian University, Rome, and is today one of the foremost interpreters of Lonergan's thought and an acknowledged hermeneutic philosopher in his own right. Lonergan Institute by the Center for Catholic Studies at Seton Hall University, and is distributed by the Philosophy Documentation Center. Richard Liddy is its director.
