My Hero Academia (Japanese: 僕のヒーローアカデミア, Hepburn: Boku no Hīrō Akademia) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi.It was serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from July 2014 to August 2024, with its chapters collected in 42 tankōbon volumes.

The story follows Koichi Haimawari, a young man who uses his Quirk to help others despite not being a licensed Hero. After he and the street performer Kazuho Haneyama are attacked by a group of thugs, they are saved by the strong vigilante Knuckleduster , who recruits Koichi and Kazuho to become vigilantes themselves.
Nine ends up greatly overpowering Izuku with his multitude of Quirks, even with Bakugo's help, and they are defeated. However, Nine is forced to retreat after overusing his Quirks, allowing Class 1-A to save Izuku, Bakugo, and the Shimanos. After 1-A regroups, they deduce why Nine wants Katsuma after he uses his Quirk to heal Izuku and Bakugo.
Bakugo becomes angry as he wants Todoroki to fight him with both of his sides. After Izuku's cheer, Todoroki decides to use his left side but when Bakugo is about to use his "Howitzer Impact", Todoroki suddenly stops using his left side. The attack pushes Todoroki out of bounds, resulting in Bakugo being named the winner.
