"Glad You Came", also known as "I'm Glad You Came", is a song by British-Irish boy band the Wanted, released on 24 May 2011 as the second single from their second studio album, Battleground. The song was written by Steve Mac , Wayne Hector and Ed Drewett , and was produced by Steve Mac.
Glad You Came [1] is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Mario, it was released on December 13, 2024, through his New Citizen imprint with distribution from Epic Records. [2] This is his first studio effort since Dancing Shadows (2018) and his first album under a major label since D.N.A. (2009).
In early 2012, the Wanted achieved success in the United States and Canada with their single "Glad You Came" which became their second UK number-one. [1] It peaked at number three for four consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, the highest American chart entry by a British boy band at the time.
"Glad You Came", the Wanted's fifth single, was released in July 2011 and became their second number-one single in the UK and their first in Ireland; it also charted in the US, Australia, and Europe. In October, their sixth single, " Lightning ", debuted and peaked at number 2 on 23 October 2011.
The album received mostly favourable reviews from music critics. "Glad You Came" was released as the EP's second single on 18 October 2011. This time, a much heavier promotional schedule was given to the single, and as such, following heavy radio play and television coverage, the single entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 64.
"Glad You Came" was by far the biggest with over 4 million in worldwide sales. It was Drewett's second UK number 1 hit single.
