The SDC Championship was a professional golf tournament held at St Francis Links in St Francis Bay, South Africa. The tournament was introduced for the 2023 season as a co-sanctioned European Tour and Sunshine Tour event. [1] Matthew Baldwin won the inaugural event, shooting 18 under par to win by seven shots ahead of Adri Arnaus. [2]
New sponsors in 1972 gave the championship a home at The Wanderers Golf Club where it remained until 1995, [2] when it became the first tournament in South Africa to be co-sanctioned by the European Tour. The following year Alfred Dunhill took over from Lexington as title sponsors, breaking a 23-year association with the PGA.

In August 2010, the World Deaf Golf Championships [11] and the Scottish Seniors Open 2010 were held on the Torrance. The course features classic Scottish riveted bunkering throughout and is of a Scottish style Links design. In 2021 and 2022, the course hosted the Hero Open tournament.
