Whey (all whey) protein gives me horrible gas and diarrhea. I found egg protein to be more tolerable, but I really used my experience as motivation to get my protein from food as fast as possible. Be eating strategically, I could eat 100g with real food by the time I was about 6 months post op.
I would suggest either getting some unflavored protein powder that you can hide in other foods or tryi a variety of the RTD (pre-mixed) protein shakes or waters. Some of those are much more palatable than the powders. I personally like the chocolate or banana "Oh Yeah!" brand shakes and the Cytomax protein water.
