gurutech67 : yes the limit switch opend because the furnace was overheating, I'm assuming you have already changed the air filter, the next thing would be to check the blower wheel to see if it's dirty and not moving enough air, there is the possibility of either the control board is going out (heat relay), the blower motor could be failing, or the blower motor capacitor is failing.

The high limit switch is not meant to continually reset, it has a limited number of resets. The woodburning stove must have tripped that by overfiring (by the Goodman specs) until it finally broke for good.
I have a goodman GMV90905DXA furnace. The manual reset limit switch or roll out switch has been popping. It had been replaced last year and is popping again this year. 1st time furnace on this year.
