On March 13, 2014, Two and a Half Men was renewed for a twelfth season, which was announced the following May to be the final season, [1] that premiered on October 30, 2014. [2] [3] During the course of the series, 262 episodes of Two and a Half Men aired over twelve seasons, between September 22, 2003, and February 19, 2015.
On May 12, 2012, CBS renewed Two and a Half Men for a tenth season, following the announcement that CBS had closed a one-year deal with stars Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones. [4] [5] Series co-creator Lee Aronsohn did not return to his position as showrunner; [6] he was replaced by executive producers Don Reo and Jim Patterson. [5]
The season was originally intended to have 22 episodes, but in November 2009 it was announced that the season was being extended to 24 episodes. Sheen entered rehab on February 23, 2010, and as a result, taping of the show was suspended; Sheen and the cast returned to the set to resume taping on March 16, 2010. [4]
