Model–view–controller (MVC) is a software design pattern [1] commonly used for developing user interfaces that divides the related program logic into three interconnected elements. These elements are: the model, the internal representations of information. the view, the interface that presents information to and accepts it from the user.
The view engines used in the ASP.NET MVC 3 and MVC 4 frameworks are Razor and the Web Forms. [ 29 ] [ 30 ] Both view engines are part of the MVC 3 framework. By default, the view engine in the MVC framework uses Razor .cshtml and .vbhtml , or Web Forms .aspx pages to design the layout of the user interface pages onto which the data is composed.
Model–view–viewmodel. Model–view–viewmodel (MVVM) is an architectural pattern in computer software that facilitates the separation of the development of a graphical user interface (GUI; the view)—be it via a markup language or GUI code—from the development of the business logic or back-end logic (the model) such that the view is not ...
Model–view–adapter (MVA) or mediating-controller MVC is a software architectural pattern and multitier architecture. In complex computer applications that present large amounts of data to users, developers often wish to separate data (model) and user interface (view) concerns so that changes to the user interface will not affect data handling and that the data can be reorganized without ...
Following traditional building architecture, a software architectural style is a specific method of construction, characterized by the features that make it notable.. An architectural style defines: a family of systems in terms of a pattern of structural organization; a vocabulary of components and connectors, with constraints on how they can be combined.
Computer-aided software engineering (CASE) is a domain of software tools used to design and implement applications. CASE tools are similar to and are partly inspired by computer-aided design (CAD) tools used for designing hardware products. CASE tools are intended to help develop high-quality, defect-free, and maintainable software. [1]
References. Adapter pattern. In software engineering, the adapter pattern is a software design pattern (also known as wrapper, an alternative naming shared with the decorator pattern) that allows the interface of an existing class to be used as another interface. [ 1 ] It is often used to make existing classes work with others without modifying ...
C4 model. The C4 model is a lean graphical notation technique for modeling the architecture of software systems. [1][2] It is based on a structural decomposition (a hierarchical tree structure) of a system into containers and components and relies on existing modelling techniques such as Unified Modeling Language (UML) or entity–relationship ...
