She is known for performing Celtic and classical music and being the former fiddler for Celtic Woman. She was also one of the two original fiddlers in Michael Flatley ’s Lord of the Dance in the mid to late 1990s, along with its extended version Feet of Flames in the early 2000s.
Her second break from Celtic Woman was eventually announced as permanent in January 2013, and McFadden became a permanent member of the group. On leaving Celtic Woman, Kelly told Charlie Patton of the Florida Times-Union , "It was an amazing experience, but with four kids, I just needed stability."
Méav gained musical stardom as a founding member of the group Celtic Woman in 2004 and is featured on three CDs, Celtic Woman, Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration, and Celtic Woman: A New Journey.
