The No 1 Ground was the first of the four grounds to be developed and was the first to be used for Bangladeshi domestic competitions in 2000. The facilities at the other three grounds have been upgraded in recent years with the help of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. [1] Grounds 2, 3 and 4 are now regularly used for first-class and List A cricket.

The National Cricket League (Bengali: জাতীয় ক্রিকেট লিগ) is the oldest domestic first-class cricket competition in Bangladesh.
