   For bait fishing, I use sand crabs and a bobber and leader setup. Most reef fish in the East Cape hang around the rocks and don’t venture often into the sandy areas. Because of the possibility of a snag, I use a technique I learned in Hawaii while fishing Kauai’s Kapaa shore. Find a large slip bobber that can be loaded with water for weight.

   Just got back from Loreto. We flew Volaris out of TJ. We had a 8-1/2' tube and 6-fully loaded reels on our checked baggage. Paid an extra Sport fee for the rod tube $46 I think. No issues. You can not carry on loaded reels.

   Fly Volaris, look for deals, I have flown for under $200 round trip to La Paz. I have been doing this for nearly 40 years and brought hundreds, maybe thousands of pounds of fish home this way. I live about 5 hours from the border and fish always makes it home frozen solid.
