Title: "Beware of Select Home Warranty - Scam Alert!" I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Select Home Warranty, and it's safe to say it was an absolute nightmare. This company engages in deceptive practices by putting a cap on repairs, essentially scamming customers who trusted them for reliable service.

Select Home Warranty is a truly well-systemized none-customer-care company. Filed two claims related with the water leaking problem in master shower room and guest shower room respectively but they denied to pay for the cost.

Wow, $360 for 15 months and a $60 deductible is a solid deal! I went with Select Home Warranty too, and so far, no complaints. Negotiating skills paid off, right? I had a similar experience. Found an awesome deal through this site to compare local home warranty quotes. Ended up saving quite a bit, and the whole process was a breeze.

Facebook friends and family, I have waited a couple of days to cool off before posting this. Those who know me well understand. I had a problem with my garage door a couple of weeks ago. So I called my home warranty service, American Home Shield. I have had AHS for over 16 yrs. I have paid monthly payments on time and seldom called any repairs.

Then I was told that under section E2 of my contract it states that Choice Home Warranty is not responsible for any work that their contractor do and I should call the contractor for the problem. So just a warning if you are in the market for a home warranty, do not choose Choice Home Warranty. They work hard at not paying claims!!!

100,000. I had multiple terrible experiences with Choice Home Warranty. I had relatively poor experiences with Sears Home Warranty too, but they just had terrible systems. Choice Home Warranty actually had terrible service, practices, communications, policies, and treatment of their technicians, and were outright fraudulent and missold the service.

The only time I would ever recommend someone get a home warranty is in very specific circumstances: they cannot afford to fix a single, sudden but emergency repair; they find a home warranty company that will cover everything in their house; and nearly all of their appliances/HVAC/water heater/other expensive things are near death.

  9. Are there ANY decent home warranty companies out there?

When considering home warranty options for an older home, it's crucial to choose a company with a solid track record of customer satisfaction and reliability. While Select Home Warranty, American Home Shield, and Liberty Home Guard may have mixed reviews, there are other reputable companies worth exploring.

  10. Beware: SELECT HOME WARRANTY : r/homeowners - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/homeowners/comments/19db4d3/beware_select_home_warranty

I purchased a contract for home warranty on 12/11/23 and paid for the full year. The salesman presented the plan very well. When asked about exclusions, the response was "very few". When asked about coverage limits, the response was "we have the best coverage in the industry". I expected any salesman to say that.

After having a home warranty with American Home Shield which was included in the purchase of our home for 4 years switched to Liberty. Definitely researched options and Liberty was given an excellent review. Purchased the plan that covers appliances. It is March in Connecticut and our boiler or furnace stopped working the last week of February.
