Originally they gave me Progressive insurance, but the Tesla wasn't listed, the driver was. Progressive kicked it over to Tesla as its the primary insurance. Progressive was easy AF to work with. They determined that their driver was at fault, but wont pay unless primary denies, primary in this case is Tesla.

I highly suggest that everyone avoid them. We are still dealing with them after 2 months. Their adjusters absolutely do not pick up their phone!! Been waiting for a call back for weeks! Edit: it took over 4 months and going through loopholes to get through to them. They are violating every single law around insurance. Again, avoid them at all cost.

Whoever suggesting that 2h waiting time by phoning provided in the app number is OK and OPs fault for waiting so long are gullible Tesla fan guppies ๐ ๐ ๐ . It’s an awful ๐ฃ customer experience. ๐คฌ that’s insane how people blaming OP for waiting so long.
The "I pick up the phone to solve my problems" crowd meets the "I message/email someone to solve my problems" company and the two ideologies simply don't mix well. I'm on year 4 of ownership and I haven't talked to a single person over the phone for anything, not for my purchase, not for pickup, not for service. For me, it's perfection.
So this was the email I got , but again I'm still waiting for an acknowledgement - support@teslainsuranceservices.com . I called one day when they were high volume and the automated response provided the email. I've only had to contact them one time via email and they responded within the day. Maybe it's luck of the draw.
I called my insurance and asked them. Find a VIN of a similar car on Carguru or Cars.com. I don’t think you need the vin number to get a quote. I just asked my insurance guy to ballpark it based on the model and trim. I was in the same boat as you, I messaged the Tesla advisor and asked them for the VIN number for the car I was interested in ...
Since you have no contract with Tesla Insurance (whatever the hell that is), you have no obligation to work with them or follow their rules. Their insured is liable to you alone, not your insurance company, not your mudder-in-law, not Elon Musk. On the bright side, I am sure there is video evidence in Tesla's possession to determine fault.
Sold my tesla after a year, able to keep just the Infiniti on tesla insurance, then when my 2022 M3LR came in I just added it back on my tesla insurance. Prices were still competitive when it was just the Infiniti on the policy. A quick call to tesla insurance phone number is all you need. 4.
