Paul Antony Young [4] (born 17 January 1956) [5] is an English musician, singer and songwriter. Formerly the frontman of the short-lived bands Kat Kool & the Kool Cats, Streetband and Q-Tips, he became a teen idol with his solo success in the 1980s.
From 1983 to 1993, all of Young's studio albums were released during a contract he had with Columbia Records, and since 1994, Young has released albums through Vision, East West and SonyBMG Records. Between Two Fires is the third solo album by English singer Paul Young. Released in October 1986, it reached No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart , and No. 77 on the US Billboard 200 album chart. The album has been certified Platinum (300,000 copies) by the British Phonographic Industry .
Released in 1991, it was Young's first "greatest hits" collection, compiling tracks from the past decade. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at number one (Young's third and final UK number one album to date) and has been certified Triple Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry for UK sales in excess of 900,000 copies.
