Spur is a city in Dickens County, Texas, United States. The population was 863 at the 2020 census , [ 2 ] down from 1,318 at the 2010 census . A city council resolution passed in July 2014 proclaimed Spur the "nation's first tiny house-friendly town."
The Spur 537 designation, along with those of several other routes in Bexar County, was cancelled on December 18, 2014; control was returned to the city of San Antonio as part of TxDOT's San Antonio turnback program, which gave 21.8 miles (35.1 km) of roads to the city. [18]

Spur 17 is located in Dalhart. Spur 17 begins at the intersection of US 87 and FM 1727 on the northern edge of Dalhart. [23] Locally named Ponderosa Lane, Spur 17 continues as a rural, two-lane road along the northern boundary of Dalhart. Northbound traffic on SH 36 can use Spur 10 to avoid passing through Rosenberg.
