Home Hardware Dealer Support Centre in St. Jacobs, Ontario. Home Hardware Stores Ltd. is an independent home improvement retailer located in Canada. Co-founded by Walter Hachborn in 1964, and headquartered in St. Jacobs, Ontario, the company has close to 1,100 stores that operate under one of four banners: Home Hardware, Home Hardware Building Centre, Home Building Centre, and Home Furniture.
The Queensgate shopping centre is located in the centre of the UK city of Peterborough, in Cambridgeshire. It contains over 100 stores and parking for 2,300 cars in four onsite multi-storey car parks. Queensgate bus station is located within the shopping centre and only a short walk from Peterborough railway station. [1]
A 2,100 space car park is provided for the large numbers of visitors the centre receives, especially in the run-up to Christmas. The centre is situated off the A15 road from the A1139, Fletton Parkway, that skirts the south of Peterborough and runs between the centre and the Orton district of the city to the North.
Its master developers, O&H Properties, have maintained their pledge to provide at least 50% open space, and have planted around 110,000 trees. In 1889, Peterborough's town council approved plans for the construction of a new market hall. The building was to replace an earlier market hall on Water Street built in 1851. The cornerstone was laid on 26 November 1889 by Mayor James Stevenson. The hall was constructed by Thomas Rutherford at a cost of $11,000. [3]
In late 2010, all patient services were moved into the new hospital building located at 1 Hospital Drive. Demolition of the Nicholls building began in November 2011 and was completed in December 2011. [3] [4] The hospital is affiliated with the Queen's University School of Medicine, and is a training site for the Family Medicine Residency Program.
In 2003, the Memorial Centre was renovated adding 24 luxury box suites, improved concessions, a licensed restaurant, new seats, boards, scoreboard and the addition of air conditioning. In late 2005, the building added a full video scoreboard. When the Memorial Centre was renovated, the stage was replaced with a restaurant.
