Royal Vale School (French: École Royal Vale) is a K–11 school in Region 3 of the English Montreal School Board (EMSB). It is an Immersion school at both the elementary and high school levels. Students who graduate from Royal Vale receive a bilingual certificate. Being a school with a math and science focus, Royal Vale has 240 status.
In 1979, the original West Hill High School, known then as Monklands High School, was closed due to a dramatic decline in enrollment. [1] In 1984, the building was renovated into a seniors residence by the City of Montreal. [3] The second West Hill High School is now Royal Vale School, part of the English Montreal School Board.
In 1980, the elementary school was closed because of poor enrollment. The Royal Vale elementary school moved in, but was closed as well. In 1983, the Royal Vale French immersion high school and Montreal West High School merged to form Royal West Academy. Until 1998 the school was within the Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal. Vale School-Community House is a historic two-room school located near Oakton, Fairfax County, Virginia. It was built about 1884 and expanded with a second room in 1912. It is a one-story, two-room, wood-frame building on a stone and concrete foundation. It has a gable front with overhanging eaves, topped by a belfry with the school bell.
