Buena Vista Street is a major street in Burbank, California. It runs north–south from its north end at Scott Road to its south end at Riverside Drive and the 134 freeway. The street has interchanges with both the 134 freeway and Interstate 5. Walt Disney Studios have long been located on Buena Vista Street.
The library was named after writer John Steinbeck in 1969. The library held the Steinbeck archives until 1998 when they were transferred to the new National Steinbeck Center. The library made national headlines in 2004 and 2005 when it, along with the two other libraries in Salinas, were on the verge of closing because of insufficient funding. [1]
Burbank opened its first library in 1913 as a contracted branch of the Los Angeles County Library. In 1938, the Burbank Public Library began operation separately from the county as a city department. Today, there are three public library locations in Burbank. The newest location is the Buena Vista Branch Library, which opened in 2022.

The main gate was opened on July 15, 2011. The construction of the Red Car trolleys began on January 10, 2010. Construction of Buena Vista Street itself began in October 2010 and opened on June 15, 2012. [1] Throughout construction, the main entrance remained open with areas blocked off from time to time to aid in construction.
The John Steinbeck House is a historic house restaurant and house museum in Salinas, California. The house was the birthplace and family home of author John Steinbeck (1902–1968). It is noted for its Queen Anne architecture. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. [2]
