Pune Jn - Daund Jn The total length of this section is 75.59 Kilometers, which includes a total of 11 stations. Out of the 11 stations, there are 7 B class, no C class, 3 D class and 1 SPL class stations. The line includes a Double Line system, with traction of Electric. The electrification of the line was completed in October 2016.
The line had previously been serviced by regular trains. The EMU service reduced end-to-end travel time on the line from 2.5 hours to 1.5 hours. [1] Nine-car trains were operated on the Pune Suburban Railway until March 2009, when they were replaced by 12-car services. CR also operates 13-car trains. [3]
The CSMT to LTT section was converted from 1.5 kV DC to 25 kV AC on 8 June 2015. [13] [14] The Kasara-Pune section was also converted from 1.5 kV DC to 25 kV AC. The Pune–Daund section as well as Daund-Bhigwan section was electrified in 2017. [15] The electrification of the Bhigwan-Kalaburgi section was completed on 25 March 2022.

Pune Metro Line 3 of the Pune Metro is the third line of the city of Pune's under-construction mass transit network. It will run from District Court, Pune to Megapolis Pune in Hinjawadi. The 23.3 km (14.5 mi) line will be completely elevated and will have 23 stations and will align with the MahaMetro lines at the District Court interchange station.
