"I Get Off" is the debut single by American hard rock band Halestorm, released on March 10, 2009, from their 2009 self-titled debut album. [1] The song was written by lead singer Lzzy Hale with its producer, Howard Benson, and Dana Calitri, Kathy Sommer, and Nina Ossoff. Lyrically, the song describes deriving pleasure from sexual exhibitionism.
Halestorm covered the Dio song "Straight Through the Heart" on the tribute album Ronnie James Dio – This Is Your Life, which was released on March 25, 2014. On March 28, 2014, Halestorm performed a brand new song called The Heartbreaker at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, Tennessee . [ 29 ]
Halestorm received generally mixed reviews from music critics. Commercially, the album was a modest success, debuting at number 40 on the US Billboard 200 and was certified gold by the RIAA. [49] She was also a judge on the inaugural season of the television show "No Cover", a music competition show where unsigned bands and artists performed original songs with the hope of winning a record contract.
