"Default" is the debut single by English supergroup Atoms for Peace. It was released as a download on 10 September 2012 [ 1 ] and on 12" vinyl on 4 December 2012. [ 2 ] This was the first non-remixed track released by the band and featured on their debut album, Amok .
Atoms for Peace were an English-American rock supergroup comprising the Radiohead songwriter Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, piano), the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, the Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich (keyboards, synthesisers, guitars), the Beck and R.E.M. drummer Joey Waronker, and the Forro in the Dark percussionist Mauro Refosco.

Amok is the only album by the rock band Atoms for Peace, released on February 25, 2013 by XL Recordings.It features the Radiohead singer Thom Yorke (vocals, keyboards, programming and guitars), the Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich (production and programming), the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, the drummer Joey Waronker and the percussionist Mauro Refosco.
In 2009, Yorke formed a new band, Atoms for Peace, to perform his solo material. [8] They performed "FeelingPulledApartByHorses" on their 2013 tour. [9] Yorke and Greenwood performed "FeelingPulledApartByHorses" with their band the Smile on their 2022 tour. [10] A performance was included on the 2023 Smile EP Europe: Live Recordings 2022. [11]
The band, now named Atoms for Peace, [9] then played a brief tour of America in April 2010. Their full-length album Amok was released February 25, 2013, on XL Records. Waronker later contributed drums to the song "The Axe" from Yorke's third studio album, Anima .
Variations on the title phrase appeared on the Radiohead website around the time of their album OK Computer (1997). [1] The Radiohead singer, Thom Yorke, first performed "Skrting on the Surface" in 2009 in a solo piano rendition while touring with his band Atoms for Peace. [2]
